TRIBOS-R is the rigid and precise toolholder.
The radial rigidity and clamping force has been specifically optimized with a concentricity of less than 0.003 mm.
For TRIBIS-R, the external diameter has been increased to improve the rigidity. Consequently, TRIBOS-R can resist high radial forces. A special chamber system, filled with thermosetting plastic, dampens the vibrations resulting in higher surface finish and tool life. High cutting speeds are possible making TRIBOS-R suitable for rough machining.
