Part handling in cleaning process

Customer wants to pick-up several workpieces at the same time from the workpiece carrier. Process: Pick-up dirty parts, place them in cleaning machine, pick-up clean parts and put them back onto the workpiece carrier.

The cell consists of 4 stations for each of eight workpieces.
Station 1: Preparing the contaminated workpieces
Station 2: Wet cleaning
Station 3: Drying
Station 4: Carrying out the clean workpieces
The workpieces are transported with 24 PWG 40S angular grippers, which are in 3 groups of each 8 grippers mounted on a slide. The grippers transport the workpiece from one station to the other.

The customer could increase the number of handled parts tremendously. By increasing the number of end-effectors, he can handle twice as many parts as before.
